Beth Raynock, the chef and owner of Local Mama Catering welcomes you to join her in our kitchen at Setter Ridge Vineyards for a gourmet cooking class.
Beth is a former teacher and she has been in the culinary business for over 20 years. She is what we call “industry taught” working in the front and the back of the house and as a pastry chef. She will bring her expertise and passion to show you technique, timing, plating, and how to highlight the flavors of beautiful ingredients when cooking with our wine.
We will focus on a 3 course Meal using Setter Ridge Wines. The class includes demonstration and light preparation. Please bring an apron, your own cutting board, and your best knife.
First Course: A White Wine Cheese Fondue with Fresh Herbs and accouterments.
Second Course: A local Steak from Gauker Farms with a red wine reduction, Mushrooms sources from Primordia Farms, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, and Fresh Asparagus.
Dessert: fresh fruit soaked in wine, served over a vanilla shortcake with Red Wine Whipped Cream.
Included in the class will be a 3 ounce glass of wine paired with each of the courses
Please arrive promptly by 5:45. Class will begin at 6 PM and will run until 8 PM.
